Travel safety equipment is intended to keep babies and young children comfortable and safe from harm while they are out of the house.
Car Safety
A few baby travel safety items are specifically designed for the car. This includes sun screens, which attach to a window and block out the sun so that a child does not overheat or get sunburned during a journey. A seatbelt pillow is a padded strap that wraps around a standard seatbelt. This gives a child a cushioned surface on which to rest their head and can stop the seatbelt digging into their neck and shoulder. Neck rolls can also be useful to keep a child comfortable if they sleep during a journey. Other car safety equipment includes seatback organizers that protect front seats against dirty feet and also provide a safe place to store toys, drinks, and other items.
Walking Safety
Baby safety items designed for use when out walking include harnesses that a toddler can wear. This allows the child to walk while the parent still has some control over them by holding on to the harness straps. Soft ride inserts can be used in a buggy as a way to give a child a more comfortable ride. A Hold Me Handle can be fitted to a buggy to give a toddler a comfortable handhold that will protect against falls as they walk. A travel safety bag can be useful to hold common medical supplies that may be needed on an outing.
